Nora
Bushong Larimer, wife of guide Preston
Larimer, has spent the last two years painting on
location in Wyoming during July, while we are all out
fishing. Many days we pass her sitting on the side of
the road capturing the areas as we head out for our
day on the stream. Often we all get together with our
clients in the evening and get a first peak of what
Nora painted that day.
Nora
has over 30 years of painting experience. Although currently
from St. Louis, MO, Nora has spent time painting from
the coasts of Maine, the forests of Pennsylvania, and
the Amish farms of Ohio, to the western and southwestern
U.S. This broad experience has helped to shape her bold,
fresh watercolors of landscapes, still lifes, and florals.
She earned a degree in Fine Art in 1975, and has since
been a professional artist while maintaining a custom
frame shop, and occasionally teaching painting classes
and workshops in the field, from her studio and at the
college level. She has won numerous awards for her paintings
at outdoor and other juried shows and festivals throughout
the U.S.
