Missouri Fly Fishing in Mill, Spring and Crane Creeks

NOTE: Due to stress on these fisheries, we are not presently guiding on these streams

These three small and intimate spring-fed creeks are home to some of the only remaining pure stocks of McCloud River Rainbows. Planted nearly one hundred years ago by the railroad at overnight stops, they have thrived in the cold clear waters.

Separated by just an Ozark ridge line, Mill and Spring Creeks are located a few miles west of Rolla. While these two Ozark gems give up a few 18-inchers each year, a 13-incher will earn you the respect of anyone who has had the opportunity to spend a day on either stream.

Crane Creek, located southwest of Springfield, like Mill and Spring Creeks will test your casting skills. Crane’s wild beauties haven’t survived for all these years without developing their own set of skills.
