The Rains Have Arrived

On Friday, April the 13th, it rained all day on the Current. In the morning the river came up a couple of inches and continued a slow but steady rise all day. The slight rise made the river just slightly milky and put the fish in a feeding mode.

Not hard to guess what the fly of choice was. Yep, an olive mohair leech. It was so good I thought we were fishing the proverbial yesterday! The river levels have held very well with the continued rains and the fishing continues to be good. On the 23rd drifting an olive mohair leech with or without a small STREAM SIDE ADVENTURES olive generic nymph produced a good number of fish.
